You never know what you will find if you wander without a particular destination in mind. I tend to travel without much of a detailed plan; probably have a few big things in mind, but the little spots on the way are often found by serendipity. I have found geocaching to be one of the best ways to find things that would otherwise stay hidden. I had booked a motel for my son and I in Spokane, and we were on the road to get there before nightfall. I noticed on my geocaching app that there was a cache that had a good number of favorite points, and it was (almost) on the way. Turns out, there is an unforgettable site with amazing sculptures and rusty antiques and odd pieces of advertising. And there was this space capsule, just big enough for 3 or 4 small green interstellar visitors.
